We invite you to gather and meet your peers in the photography community who share a desire to push the boundaries of what is possible in photography at weddings. We aim to shake up expectations and celebrate new photographic perspectives. We are proud to take photographs at weddings and we want to surprise ourselves with the work we produce.
During this two-day event, our space will come alive with an immersive exhibition curated by Elsa Seignol. This showcase in collaboration with the work featured by Counterpart Photos is designed to challenge tired ideas of industry standards and energize unique artistic storytelling. Together, we aim to redefine conventional norms and invite viewers to engage with fresh perspectives.
In addition, we will have a program during the 2 days, to exchange ideas, hold stimulating conversations, and get inspired.

Portfolio Reviews with Ritual members (only available as an additional purchase with a ticket)
Access to the events and the exhibit is for ticketed attendees only,
except for July 11th from 6-8 pm when we open the space to the general public.

Theme - We want to see new perspectives that shake up the meaning of wedding photography—a celebration of our desire to push the boundaries.
Guidelines
- No brides or grooms! No images with the bride/groom as the center of the composition.
- Think: Avant-garde, edgy, personal, unexpected, overlooked, radical, new, fresh.
- You can only make one submission.
- send 1-5 images to “opencall@ritualcollective.net”

Selected photographs will be included in the show, photographers will be notified by email in early June.
FAQ
Is there a fee to participate in the open call? No, the open call is free.Who can apply? Open to all photographers
If your work is part of the exhibit will you be compensated? No, to keep the ticket price reasonable and include a wide range of photographers we couldn’t include a usage fee. The ticket price will cover all expenses for the exhibit and events: Printing, the space, and curation.
Who is the jury on the open call? A panel of curators, photographers, and editors will be announced soon.
Is the photographer just supplying a digital file if they are chosen? Yes, the printing will be taken care of and the exhibition budget covers the cost.
If my work is in the show, do I still have to buy a ticket? The public opening doesn’t require a ticket. If you want to be part of the events and access the space at other times a ticket is required.
